Details:
Have you ever dreamed of starting your own business? The basics of starting a business, a skills assessment to determine if running a business is right for you, developing a plan and finding the right resources are among the topics to be discussed in this seminar. This program is presented by SCORE.

Hop into a Good Book
Details:
Preschool Summer Reading Program
Preschoolers will receive incentive awards when they complete the inside of their reading log with books someone has read to them. Children may listen to stories at home and attend storytimes at the library. Children younger than kindergarten may register in-person starting on Monday, June 7th at 10:00 a.m. Registration continues through the nine week free program, ending Saturday, August 7th at 5:00 p.m. Visit the Children's Desk of the West Chester Library for further information.

Make a Splash--READ!
Details:
K-6 Summer Reading Program
Children entering grades K - 6 in the fall may register for the reading program. Children earn incentives based on how much time they read in any of the following ways: reading to themselves, reading out loud to someone else, someone reading to them, or listening to audio books. In-person registration for the program begins Monday, June 7th at 10:00 a.m. and continues for the nine weeks of the program, ending Saturday, August 7th at 5:00 p.m.

Make Waves! Read!
Details:
Young Adult Summer Reading Program
Seventh grade through high school students are invited to participate in the Young Adult Summer Reading Program, "Make Waves! Read!" In-person registration begins Monday, June 7th at 10:00 a.m. and continues for the 9 weeks of the program. For every 100-page book read, teens may enter the drawing for prizes. All entries must be received by 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 7th. Winners will be notified by telephone.

Animal Friends Van
Details:
Animal Friends Humane Society adoption van will visit on Monday, June 7 with cute, cuddly cats and dogs. Hold, pet, and maybe adopt an adorable, furry friend.

Movie Matinee @ The Library
Details:
Join us for a movie matinee in the library community room. This month we will be showing The Blind Side, starring Sandra Bullock, Kathy Bates, and Tim McGraw. This film is based on a true story about Michael Oher, a homeless African-American youngster from a broken home. He was taken in by a wealthy white family who helped him fulfill his potential as a person and as an athlete. The movie is rated PG-13 and is 128 minutes. No registration is needed. Summer Reading Fund Raiser
Details:
LaRosa's will be donating 20% of the daily profits on Monday, June 14 to the children's Summer Reading Program. This will apply to dine in, pick up or delivery orders and include any item on the menu. The two participating locations are Lakota (Fountains Blvd and Cinci-Dayton Road) and Liberty (Hamilton Middletown Road across from Kroger).

For the library to receive credit, YOU MUST PRESENT THE COUPON ATTACHED TO OUR FLYER. Flyers are available throughout the library or may be downloaded from our West Chester Library website.

Water Fowl with a Naturalist from the Metro Parks of Butler County
Details:
A park naturalist will be discussing water fowl that are native to this area. Live birds will be displayed. This program is geared for school age children but all are welcome. In-person registration is required and will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday,June 5. Seating is limited to room capacity. This program is brought to the community through a grant funded by Ronald McDonald House charities.
