Run for your Library!

For the first time, the Middletown Public Library System will be one of the charitable “teams” for the Shamrock Shuffle 5K/10K in West Chester on March 10th! For every 25 participants that sign up to run/walk as a part of the Library’s “team,” we will receive a $250 grant! Make sure to select “Middletown Public Library System” as your team and the next time you are at one of our branches, remember to pick up a new Playaway to listen to as you train!

Please be aware that all branches of the Middletown Public Library System will be closed on March 21st as we conduct a Professional Development Day for our staff. The Library's on-line resources will continue to be available and renewals can be made via phone or by following this link - http://www.middletownlibrary.org/renew . All branches will be open on Thursday, March 22nd.

Meet Shakespurr!

Hundreds of patrons submitted their votes to name the new Middletown Public Library System’s lion mascot, and the winner is Shakespurr! He will be making many appearances at our Library’s three branches. Plan a visit to meet him soon!

Now you can "Like" the Library on Facebook

The library system started the page on the popular social networking site in an effort to expand means of communicating and providing information to its customers.

The library’s Facebook page can be found by clicking on the Facebook box below, or by searching for Middletown/ Trenton/ West Chester Library from your own Facebook page.  Customers will have the opportunity to leave comments on the page.

The new Facebook page features events at all three branches ranging from the Summer Reading Program for children, to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library information for families, to Marketing 101 for adults.

The well-attended Storytimes are conveniently posted separately for parents. Any registration requirements for Storytimes are listed for each branch and cannot be made through the Facebook account.  Photos will be posted from the various programs.

Also, anyone wishing to search the Library’s catalog can do so from the Facebook page.

All of the posts and events will be monitored and updated daily by staff.
